Children love doubling. However, it’s not enough for children to simply memorize these exercises. To calculate flexibly, they need to understand these exercises.
The exercise cards offer prompts for experimentation and reflection. It also covers halving and even/odd numbers. Corresponding worksheets are available for download and can be worked on multiple times.
✅ Important topic in Year 1
✅ Contents: Doubling, halving, even/odd numbers
✅ 63 exercise cards
✅ 4 worksheets with solutions
Tip:
The exercises for the doubling set are also available in printed form in a small box or together with the doubling set.
Recommendation:
Before giving the child the building blocks and exercises for doubling, they should first explore with the basic material. The large blocks are intentionally only available once, as this forces the child to often break down and rebuild the numbers.
Only when it comes to the topic of doubling, especially in Year 1, would I recommend giving the child the additional building blocks and exercises.

Sensational learning success in children
As an experienced teacher, I have repeatedly found that children learn better by touching, or 'grasping,' objects.
This is especially true for mathematics, where mental calculations are often done too quickly. Many children memorize tasks, which can lead to understanding problems that are only discovered later.
That’s why Intuitibrix was created – building blocks that introduce children to math and geometry in an intuitive way through play and building.

Sustainable and effortless!
The benefits of Intuitibrix at a glance:
- Playful learning: Children have a great time discovering and experimenting.
- Unlimited possibilities: Arithmetic, geometry, creativity, fine motor skills, inclusion.
- Independence: Children don’t need instructions and can start right away.
- Clear success: A simple and secure method for starting with math.

This is how Intuitibrix works
- The dots help to figure out how much it is.
- The thick line helps so you don't always have to count.
- The smooth side encourages thinking.
- Equal height means equal quantity.
- The grooves look like ones stacked on top of each other.
The real wood feels so good. The laser-etched elements can even be recognized with closed eyes.
